How to Read the Bible

How do we read the Bible? This can sometimes feel like a daunting or overwhelming task. However, it does not have to be! There are many ways to approach reading this important text that make it more understandable, comprehensive, and most importantly, less intimidating.

Here, you will learn about a genre-specific approach that can help you structure your reading and interpretation. You will walk through developing a general understanding of what the Bible is (and is not). You will also be introduced to three scriptural genres: Narrative, Instruction, and Prayer; and learn how to identify and use them to inform your reading and interpretation. Please login.
