God and Work: Biblical Basics

This material is part one of the De Pree Center’s basic introduction to faith, work, and economics. It provides a starting point for thinking about the meaning of work and how this meaning is connected to God. The subjects covered will be the foundation for beliefs about work, based on Scripture—mainly Genesis 1–3. As the material walks through the biblical and theological bedrock for relationship between faith and work, there are sections that promote reflection on the material, sharing with others, and practicing with tangible actions.
