Discipling the Whole Person

In this era of the Church, the idea of being a multicultural, inclusive church is important. However, sometimes it can be difficult to navigate this in a truly multicultural way. This material is intended for Christians, particularly Christian leaders, who seek to tangibly live out the harmony and diversity of the body of Christ. No prior knowledge is required, but learners should have some awareness of racial and cultural issues within the church and in their context.

The material will give a road-map to avoid common pitfalls of multicultural ministry: tokenization, conflation of terms, and more. It will introduce important terms and concepts, and help move beyond good intentions to becoming informed and adept in the navigation of racial and cultural concerns. Reflection questions and activities are provided to help deepen the understanding of the material in a thoughtful, prayerful, and emotional way.
